we have run our e-commerce business for 21. We tried many differwnt host including the 3 largest US companies. We have used then cdn web hosting for 3 years. Honestly, they the very best.. there servers are extremely fast. Support is always there. For example , toay they restored our site promptly after an idiotic change we made. That's with cov19 and there support working home.. wow

As a website designer I've used and contacted several hosting companies over the years. Without a doubt I've found Canadian Web Hosting (CWH) (https://www.canadianwebhosting.com/) the very best in terms of getting back to me quickly and providing the ultimate in service. With many clients having existing web hosts I've had the chance to interact with many. Now, I refer clients only the CWH. I'm also a reseller of their services and have been doing so for over 10 years. I'm very happy with CWH and intend keep sending new clients their way.
Thankful I did not start a business with CWH as my host.
As another reviewer had mentioned, I too had excellent service for many years then one day it was all over. I had been hosting small sites for friends and family and I loved the interface from CWH and the one click installs. The bandwidth available to me from the Okanagan was the best of all hosting providers I had tested with the least number of hops.
Then one day a friend informed me he was not receiving emails properly. I tried to login to my CWH account and found I could not, I submitted a ticket and from that point forward I felt like I was chatting with an online scam of some sort as they were "hmmm don't see any issues on our end" then I would reply indicating I had had hosting service with them for years, "ah yes it appears we had a hardware failure and we are attempting to resolve the issue". No problem, right? I mean, stuff happens, let’s work together to rectify the issue because that is what customers expect from a reputable company. They could not recover ANY of the data (half dozen sites some with multiple SQL databases and thousands of emails).
I gave CWH 1 star on each of the options below even though a couple of the items I would list at 4-5 star but the average score was waaaaay too high for this company considering there is absolutely nothing more important when it comes to web hosting than reliability.
My story is a long and drawn out one. I have been a customer of Canadian Webhosting for almost 18 months now. The story starts at the beginning. For the first year all services and functionality were flawless. In that whole year we never saw even 1 outage and we did not require customer support at all. We have many different web entities on these servers, with some being fairly data intensive and others simply being landing pages. We then needed to re-subscribe for another year and did so happily.....
THAT WAS WHEN DISASTER STRUCK! The day after resubscribing our servers went down and required rebooting. We thought this was odd since nothing had changed from the previous year. It has been a disaster ever since and leading up to yesterday has ruined my business and years of work. Over the next approximately 2 months our servers kept going down every other day without notice. We would call and have them rebooted and make changes on our end that Canadian Webhosting support prescribed. None of this helped and we kept asking if upgrading to a more robust server plan would help. We never got a straight answer and so for 2 months we were almost at a 70% server outage rate. This devastated our businesses and we had a -60-70% churn in those months alone. We then decided to upgrade and were given a quote that was almost 40% higher than was on the websites plan page... Basically they knew we needed this upgrade badly and took advantage of this. I refused to pay then inflated price and this is when the problems really started. After we finally settled on a compromised price the hosting company upgraded to the purchased plan. THIS WAS A DISASTER!
Our servers went down less frequently now (Once every 2-3 days) with no fix from support at all. Some steps they took took our websites offline for well over a day at a time and when they would come back online the data would be partially corrupted. Fast track to yesterday. We had a major issue (Once again) and what should have been a simple recovery operation turned into a complete server swap and over 24 hour wait. At this time pretty much all of our data is corrupted and although we have back-ups there are still some issues (Presumably inserted previously due to the server issues).
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF THIS COMPANIES SERVICES. They have basically bankrupted us and ruined over 2 years of work. Some of our sites are still not back up.
I have searched and compared many shared hosting and reseller plans. CWH may not appear to be the cheapest option but look very carefully at what you get. They are a solid company and truly, all Canadian. That’s important to me! I believe their services match anywhere else, and the support is #1.
I don't know where you get your reviews from but they must have all been written by Canadian Web Hosting people. I've had several problems and only 1 was resolved. Others, they just ignore if it isn't convienient for them. My last issue was that they suddenly removed support for Entropy Search and when contacted, their solution was to upgrade my service to a more expensive one.
