I have been with Blacknight for about fifteen years and have found the to be excellent in terms of pricing and support. Whenever I need help (usually because of my own lack of knowledge) they have talked me through the solution. These days it is refreshing to talk to a human being at the other end of the phone and especially one who has the knowledge to help. Their patience in dealing with a programming illiterate is second to none. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
I have done businesses with many companies like Namecheap, InternetBS, Namesilo, Dynadot and lot more but never seen such bad company like Blacknight.
Their website is completely horrible(UI/UX). I was circling through the whole website to find my invoice. Their Odin panel is from 90's and you will have a hard time to find what you need.
If you're not from Ireland they will ask shit ton of documents to provide you service and even some of the documents are too much(passport, national ID, credit card picture, utility bill, and what not). I never had this many documents required at any other company. Complete hell for privacy.
Customer support agents are egoistic as hell. Like others reported they just want to deal with customers asking for support. When I complained I am not okay providing this many documents the support agent immediately left the chat instead of providing any solution and after I rated the chat as bad the agent immediately joined again and asked if I want to cancel the order. I replied I want to cancel my order and my information deleted from their system. The agent left the chat again immediately!
Don't trust those TrustPilot reviews. They are mostly from "Ireland" and I suspect Blacknight themselves created those TrustPilot account and reviewed themselves.
Beside not being able to find any of the information you're looking for, their guides are outdated and examples that are shown are completely different than what their website & cpanel looks now. Oh, and if you dare ask for help from the support team, they'll tell you that you can hire their web developer for €45 (+VAT!!!!) to get what you need done... AVOID!
Their support have always been great with me, but their infrastructure is terrible. I build websites for a living and always have performance problems with BN. Even non ecommerce 5 pagers load terrible slow :( Btw, they worked lightning fast when I move them to a UK host.

It always surprises me how awful some IT companies be even though they work in the industry. However none of them compare to Black knight. Their usability is near impossible. Can't find anything you need to and find yourself going on endless tours to strange parts of their websites that do not help with your problem at all. The worst usability ever. Extremely poor and slow customer service which would be solved by a better design of the website and people being easily able to get where they need to go. Shockingly bad. I cant believe anyone puts up with this and that their still in business. Dont know what the scoring system like this is like but -1000/10 for sure
In short, they happily took credit card details while ordering, then I heard nothing for a day.
After I raised a support ticket, I finally got told (yes, I actually had to ask why the order is not fulfilled!), that Australia is a country that is on their black list and I need to submit personal details like my drivers license, a credit card scan and more!!
And that's not even the best part, but this one: original quote: "These measures have been put in place for our customers' protection." - seriously? Say what?
Honestly, I have never been treated like this by a hosting company before, Australia is not Nigeria for heavens sake - who knows what Blacknight staff is doing with confidential details like personal document scans..
No way anybody should trust them if you ask me (and also if you don't, this is not the way you treat customers)

I see a lot of positive reviews on BK, I cannot imagine why?
Easily the worst host in Ireland, I'm currently moving sites with PHP 5.4, and constantly get hack issues from folks on BK. The CP they operate is around 10+ years and still mind numbing to use. Support want you off the ticket asap. No server upgrades, nothing good I can say here. They are not cheap either you get a legacy setup with no real cpanel or any proper admin setup.
I am having a horrible time with Blacknight. They have become a nightmare, they are the pits. As the owner of the KIlkenny Journal website I have given them the business four years ago as they were local.
I was good to them, paying everything up promptly, one of their best customers. Their Irish representative has turned out to be a really uncaring fellow for a so-called customer care officer. I couldn't take any more of it from him, I had to put down the phone. It is a dreadful experience at his hands, I would wish it on nobody else.
It all started when some spam ads were hacked in on my site - and he went and acted regarding my website in a way online so as to ensure that it was blacklisted with Google and Twitter without telling me because of some harmless spam that was hacked into my website without my knowledge or consent That is how horrific Blacknight can be. I am now seeking another hosting who won't be as awful as Blacknight is. Blacknight still take my money even though they have taken down and denigrated my website. I am paid up fully with Blacknight well into next year and they are keeping my money though acting so as to denigrate and devalue my website that is in their "care". I am sorry to have to say this about an Irish company. With their attitude they are not going to get much business anymore here. I am well-known and am telling all my friends, many of them running businesses, out of concern for what would happen them with Blacknight.

Blacknight has now taken down my site off the Internet against my will without telling me - though I have them paid up for months ahead. That's nothing short of theft of my money, same difference. That's the only factually correct statement that matters. It is Blacknight who are being duplicitous all the way in this controversy. Edit
